Mask Construction
The mask is constructed to be durable yet lightweight for wearing. The outer shell is composed of a thin layer of rigid urethane resin. The inside of the mask is filled with rigid urethane foam.
Adjustable Leather Strap+Padding
The three-point adjustable leather strap provides a secure fit and is designed to fit most head sizes. The three individual straps are attached to the inside of the mask using screws, and they can be removed if desired. The straps are interchangeable with the wall hanging kit.
The strap is recommended if you plan on wearing the mask with hood. The hood is not sufficient by itself to keep the mask from shifting on your head while wearing.
The strap is also recommended if you plan on displaying the mask using the optional display stand. This keeps the mask firmly in place on the stand without slipping.
If you plan to display the mask using your own method (on a custom head armature, for example), and if you don’t plan to wear it, you may not need to include a strap.
The padding consists of a 1/2 inch thick piece of soft foam which makes contact with your forehead and nose while wearing the mask.
Faux Fur Hood
Updated fur for 2026! Hoods now use a frost-tipped gray fur which more closely matches the screen-used suit.
The optional faux fur hood is custom sewn to fit the mask. It has a two-toned gray color (frost-tipped) which closely resembles the look of the fur suit used in the film. The hood is permanently attached to the edge of the mask.
There is only one size of hood available, designed to fit most head sizes.
Use caution and common sense while wearing the mask! The holes above the mask eyes allow you to see out while wearing it, but they obstruct most of your vision. The hole under the mask teeth helps with air flow while wearing the mask, but the fur hood traps air AND heat. It is not recommended to wear the mask with hood for extended periods of time.
