This handmade Jacob Marley door knocker replica is a fantastic display piece for any Charles Dickens fan. It depicts the moment in Dickens' A Christmas Carol when Scrooge sees the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley in the door knocker at the entrance to his home. It is cast in resin as one solid piece (the knocker does not move), and it has been painted with a faux metal finish and weathered to give the appearance of an antique heirloom.

This handmade Jacob Marley door knocker replica is a fantastic display piece for any Charles Dickens fan. It depicts the moment in Dickens' A Christmas Carol when Scrooge sees the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley in the door knocker at the entrance to his home. It is cast in resin as one solid piece (the knocker does not move), and it has been painted with a faux metal finish and weathered to give the appearance of an antique heirloom.

The piece was originally sculpted by hand in a wax-based clay. This is a copy created from a silicone mold of the original. It is cast in a durable urethane resin and coated in a high-quality metal paint. On the back side of the door knocker is a recessed keyhole hanger which allows the piece to be displayed easily on a wall using a nail or screw.

The patina is a faux patina which is a combination of paint and wax. This seals the piece and provides a stable appearance over time (unlike a traditional chemical patina which may change over time).

It is recommended to display the door knocker indoors away from the elements.
