Lightweight Mask and Helmet Stand
This lightweight display stand is perfect for displaying masks, helmets, headpieces, etc.
The stand can be easily disassembled into its three main parts: head shell, brass support rod, and wood base.
The head shell is cast in a rigid urethane resin. The head is attached to the wood base using a hollow brass rod. The bottom of the wood base has soft felt pads to prevent scratching the surface it's placed on.
Inside the head shell is a hole which accepts a 1/4 inch rod, wood dowel, etc. The hole is slightly larger than 1/4 inch to easily accommodate the support rod. This provides a slight amount of play in the connection, allowing you to spin the head freely. If you prefer not to allow the head to spin, you can add a bit of glue (hot glue, epoxy, CA glue, etc) to provide a more permanent connection between the rod and the head shell.
