Jacob Marley Door Knocker, A Christmas Carol
This cold-cast brass replica depicts Jacob Marley's ghost as seen in the door knocker by Scrooge in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. It is loosely based on the door knocker seen in Disney's 2009 animated version of the holiday classic.
Meant more as a display piece rather than a functioning door knocker, this solid resin piece was originally hand-sculpted in Monster Clay, then it was molded in silicone and cold cast using brass powder and Smooth-Cast 325 clear resin. To give it the appearance of age, the cast was weathered with a patina solution and water-soluble oil paints.

*** PLEASE NOTE: This is a NON-FUNCTIONAL display piece. The knocker ring does not move. ***
This handmade Jacob Marley door knocker replica is a fantastic display piece for any Charles Dickens fan. It depicts the moment in Dickens' A Christmas Carol when Scrooge sees the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley in the door knocker at the entrance to his home. It is cast in resin as one solid piece (the knocker does not move), and it has been painted with a faux metal finish and weathered to give the appearance of an antique heirloom.
